Mabey-Bridge-wins-Repower-turbine-manufacturing-contractREpower UK, part of the Hamburg-based onshore and offshore wind turbine manufacturer REpower Systems AG, has signed a preferred supplier agreement with British manufacturer, Mabey Bridge, to supply wind turbine towers for many of its UK developments. The news follows the announcement last month that Mabey Bridge will create 240 jobs in a new £38 million facility in Monmouthshire.

Eureka hosts successful motion control design day

Eureka magazine, the market leading publication for the UK's engineering designers, held its second motion control & automation design day on the 13th May at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham.

The event, which was sponsored by Festo, Aerotech and Micro-Epsilon, was a great success with some 40 design engineers taking part in practical hands on workshops and a series of case study based presentations.
